Implants are the closest replacement to missing natural teeth. So you can chew pretty much anything you like. I however ask my patients to not be over zealous as your chewing doesn't depend only on the implant but the type of restoration placed over the implant as well. Another important factor is that implants can handle biting or occlusal forces better than lateral or shearing forces. Which means you have to be slightly more careful when biting into something hard with implants placed in the front of your mouth (Incisor or Canine region).Hope this helps. Take care and keep smiling.
The wonderful thing about getting implants to replace missing teeth is that no matter what kind of restorations are placed over the implants, whether it is crowns, dentures, etc., it is as close as you can get to having your natural teeth. So eat what ever you like and enjoy yourself.
You do not chew on dental implants. You can chew with restorations on top of dental implants and it depends on what kind of restoration you will have. You can have complete dentures, porcelain crowns, ... so based on you restorations your chewing ability will be different.
You can chew anything that you would with natural teeth.............................................
