Hi, I'm male and have very feminine cheekbones at the moment (very large and prominent). Is there a way to make them smaller and more masculine like male models? Thanks

Answer: Cheekbone reduction or alteration to achieve more masculine face
For the most part, this is not commonly performed in the USA except by physicians generally experienced in craniofacial surgery.
The risks short and long term are primarily related to nerve injury and secondarily to the sinus and bone healing complications with symmetry being difficult to guarantee.
Often lateral projection reduction is a mistake, but when indicated, anterior projection can be valuable. I do both frequently (When indicated) and find that osteotomy is usually not necessary as the bone can be reduced.

Hello, hope you are well. The gold standard method of correcting bony asymmetry like this is with custom fabricated implants. A CT scan is performed, and implant(s) are designed and created to correct the skeletal asymmetry.
