I'm an RN and gave myself a 50% glycolic peel at home. I done this before however this was the first I've done in about a year. I forgot about stopping retinoids before the peel. I use Skinmedica retinol tx nightly and did so the night before my peel. I'm now about 54 hours post peel. I had splotchy red spots in places x 1 day (barely pink now), a few of pinpoint sized red scabs, & my entire face feels like sandpaper tonight. Didn't happen in my prior peels. Likely the retinoids? Healing likely?

It is difficult to tell without a photo but sometimes after a peel of any type some oil glands get irritated and stop up and this will go away but i would not use the cream you were given at the moment
Why in the world are you putting acid on your face at home. this should be done by a professional. at any rate for now apply cool compresses followed by 1% hydrocortisone cream twice a day and from now on see a medical professional for medical procedures
Rather than treating yourself piecemeal, see a dermatologist and get on a regimen that will help. Retinoic acid is a good choice as is glycolic acid but it must be done correctly
