I need oral surgery and would like to use Invisalign pre and post jaw surgery. Is it possible?

I have a crossbite and it would require oral surgery (lower jaw). I am almost 30, hitting my prime. I wish not to wear traditional braces at all. Is Invisalign an option both pre and post surgery?

Hello,
Yes , it is possible. It depends on what type of surgery and how extensive it is. I have done maybe 10 cases with Invisalign only nad Orthognatic surgery.  At the time of surgery little hooks sometimes need to be added.  Good Luck!

Invisalign and surgery is certainly possible to do in many (but not all) patients.  Sometimes braces are needed for a short period of time at surgery...other times Invisalign only.Talk to an orthodontist who does a lot of Invisalign if you are a good candidate
