I reviewed your photo, and unfortunately, patient satisfaction with laser hair removal is less in those with Fitzpatrick Type IV skin-color. You would need to be treated at lower settings, and strict sun-avoidance would be imperative. Your darker skin also increases the possibility of complications like: failure to achieve desired result, laser-burn, and change in skin color.

If you have olive complexion with skin type 3-4, Candela GentleLase laser may not be ideal laser for removing your facial laser. You may be at higher risk for dyspigmentation and burns. I would recommend seeking second opinion with local laser surgeon and considering alternative, safer and effective lasers to remove hair in your skin type, such as NdYag or Diode lasers. If you do proceed to start GentleLase treatment, please consider doing test spot first and encourage your practitioner to use lower energy settings to minimize risks of side effects. Good luck.
