I have been battling with acne for about 4 years now. I have gotten 4 microdermabrasion treatments in the past which lead to significant results- but then I had to stop because my dermatologist had moved away. I only have scarring on my cheeks, and the odd couple breakouts here and there. I was curious about other doctors opinions regarding my skin, and what the best treatment would be.

Thank you for your question! Lasting effects are dependent on proper skin care. Additional treatments will renew your youthful appearance. A series of six treatments over a few months is recommended for best results, followed by regular maintenance treatments. Best of luck!
Lower arm skin "weakness" is typically related to thinned skin from chronic sun damage. Also, if you are on blood-thinners such as aspirin, you are also more prone to have bruising here. I doubt microdermabrasion will be of much benefit. Retinol or retin-A based creams are a great starting point...
