30% Glycolic Peel - Scabbing on face? Will it scar? Is this normal? (photo)

Question

I had done an at-home 30% glycolic peel (3 layers, each applied 2 min, 30 seconds after each other) for a total of 8 minutes. This is not the first time I have done the peel. I had stopped using TactuPump (Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide) two days prior of the peel. I am hoping that this will not scar. I have been using La Roche Posay Cicaplast (Post-peeling, epidermal recovery accelerator). I have also used SPF 60 Lotion only for the days I leave the house.

It is difficult to tell from your pictures exactly what is occurring after your chemical peel.  I would strongly suggest you see a qualified medical professional for an examination.  If you are having a complication, it will be important to treat is early to minimize it effects.  For these reasons, I do not recommend patients perform at home chemical peels.I hope this helps.

It appears you have used a fairly aggressive strength of peel at home.  I would recommend having the skin evaluated by a dermatologist in a few months to see if there is residual pigment or scarring and see if you can achieve improvement with some topicals or microneedling.  You will need to use a very good sunscreen containing zinc or titanium dioxide while healing and from then on to prevent further pigmentation of the areas. 
Our office does not recommend home peels as they can react differently with different skin types.

although it is difficult to tell from your pictures, it is very unlikely that this will scar. However chemical peels are not to play with and you should have them done by a medical professional not at home
