Is my filling too high or will i need a root canal? (Photo)

I got a deep filling in my top left front tooth. It was fine for two weeks then a couple of days ago i could feel a little swelling around the gums of the tooth and when i bite down the tooth hurts badly even to the slightest touch. What could be wrong?

There is a very slight chance that this chip could soak up stain over time but if the chip is very small your dentist may be able to polish it out and prevent the staining from happening.

Tooth-colored bonding material is a quick and inexpensive method to fix a chipped tooth.  Avoid home remedies as anything painted on the tooth could be potentially toxic.

It is not uncommon for lateral incisors to have varied anatomical features on their inner aspects.  You should however get a complete examination with a dentist to confirm that there is no decay present.
