Is my filling too high or will i need a root canal? (Photo)

Question

I got a deep filling in my top left front tooth. It was fine for two weeks then a couple of days ago i could feel a little swelling around the gums of the tooth and when i bite down the tooth hurts badly even to the slightest touch. What could be wrong?

It sounds like there might be an infection. Contact your dentist. they will probably want to x-ray to evaluate the tooth. A root canal might be recommended. Good luck.

It is possible that the nerve in the tooth has died and is causing an infection in the gum tissue. I would recommend to follow up with your dentist to have the area evaluated.
