Will larger high profile implants raise my nipple at all, and is high profile a good choice for me? (Photo)

The size of implant best for you is dictated by your
chest wall measurements. Once we determine that we can choose the profile
based on what you want or need to achieve.  If you are seeking a natural look, then the diameter of the implant
should be equal to or, more ideally, smaller than the width of your breast. The
breast width is a measurement of how wide your breast is at the base, which
should be measured at the level of the nipple. Choosing an implant that is
smaller in diameter than your breast width will avoid the "side
breast" fullness that is often associated with a more artificial
appearance. Other than that, you should choose the implant based on
volume, not on the dimensions of the implant.

Silicone will give you a fullness at the
top (upper pole fullness).

Silicone implants come pre-filled with a
silicone gel and are the softest implant available. They feel more natural,
which makes them a good option for women with less natural breast tissue; but
they require a larger incision. It may be more difficult to realize if this
type of implant has ruptured, so it is important to monitor them with annual
follow-up visits. Additionally, because this implant contains a more liquid silicone
(less cross-linked), if this implant should rupture, it will leak only into the
scar capsule formed around the implant but may cause some discomfort or implant
distortion.

Anatomic gummy bear implants might be a
good choice to give you volume.

These highly-sought-after, anatomic
implants offer a look that more closely resembles the natural silhouette of a
breast, and, therefore, are a very attractive option for individuals seeking a
natural-looking, aesthetic primary breast augmentation. Additionally, these
implants are an especially excellent option for patients undergoing restorative
or corrective breast surgery because they provide more stability, shape, and
reduced incidence of capsular contracture. Compared to other types of silicone
gel implants, the silicone in the cohesive gel implant is more cross-linked;
therefore, should the implant shell “rupture,” it maintains its shape and
silicone does not leak.

During your breast augmentation
consultation, you should feel the different types of implants available, and
try on various implant sizers in front of a mirror to help you to get an idea
of how you will look following the surgery. You should also bring pictures of
the look you would like to achieve, as well as a favorite top to wear when
trying on implant sizers.

Dear Caligirl,    Thanks for submitting your pictures. From observing your pictures, the following is noticed:     1. You appear to be C cup,.     2. Left breasts is smaller.     3. Bilateral capsule contracture.     4.Wide cleavage     5. Level 2 ptosis (moderate)   For optimal result with larger size implants, I would recommend bilateral capsulotomy ( you need more room for larger implants and nicer cleavage ) and mini lift (donut ).   Just augmentation will leave you uncomfortable and unhappy with the shape of the breasts.You did not provide your chest and breasts circumference measurements. So, if you are presently 34 C cup,  450 cc implants will bring you to 34 D cup. If you are 36 C cup-, you'll be 36 small D cup.  Do your due diligence and consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeon  who did lots of 'redo' breasts augmentation surgeries. Check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Certainly larger implants will give you more upper pole fullness and may raise up the nipple areolar complexes a little bit. A breast lift will do the latter better. Best of luck to you. 

There is no way to guarantee a particular bra size. Bra sizing varies greatly between bra manufacturers and a C in one bra will be a D in another. What matters more than the assigned bra size is the way the implant looks on you. The best option for your body and aesthetic goals can be determined in a thorough implant sizing session.Implant sizing depends on several factors. One of the most important factors is your breast width. Generally, your surgeon will measure your breast width, and then provide you with a range of implant sizes appropriate for your native breast size. There are more nuances to it than just what I've described, but this approach works for most women.I usually have my patients bring in a large bra and a tight t-shirt to do sizing. I'll then choose 3-4 implants that I feel are appropriate, and have my patients place them in the bra under the tight t-shirt. My patients can then look in the mirror and get a good sense of what they will look like with the provided implant sizes. My patients like this approach and get a great idea of how they will look.By using this technique, your surgeon can outline a range of appropriate implant sizes that will be aesthetically pleasing, and you make the final decision.I hope this helps. Hello,  if nipples are low on the breasts, implants can make them appear to be in a better position on the breast mounds.  However, the nipples are not truly raised, in the sense that they are not actually repositioned.  

You'll get more fullness in the upper pole (a little), but won't get the nipple any higher.  You're at the point where that would require a lift.  If you don't want the scars, then your plan is ok.  Good luck!

Yes but post operatively you will have avoided anterior breast scars.  The trade off ( I can only surmise without the benefit of an exam)unfortunately, is that you will have larger saggy breasts. Best wishes

Implants in general do not lift the breasts to any extent.  A lift is needed to lift the breasts. Best of luck.

I think what you are asking about is if you will need a lift or not?   its hard to assess your chest wall from the photos you have posted.  It may be possible to get a nice result with just a breast augmentation with a dual plane technique.  However, a physical exam is really needed to make any formal recommendations.  Please see a board certified PS to learn more about your options.Best wishes,Dr. BasuHouston, TX

Breast implants will not raise the nipple. Breast implants alone may improve the breasts shape and size but with the ptosis (sagging) that you have you may need the implants to be placed on top of the muscle-sub mammary breast augmentation- to avoid the snoopy deformity.Please be aware that you have a significant breast asymmetry which should be addressed. The left breast (right in photos) is smaller and higher than the left. With breast implants this difference will be exaggerated and more noticeable. Implants take longer to drop in the smaller breast and can make asymmetry worse. You may need a lift of the lower breast on the right side.Your breasts appear widely spaced-high profile implants can make this worse so you may need a Moderate plus or Moderate shaped implant.Please see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who does a lot of aesthetic breast surgery.
