How long to wait to get braces after a crown?

Hi, thanks for sending your question. Ideally there is no set amount of time to wait for orthodontic treatment after the placement of the crown. The facts that you need to consider prior to the placement of the crown is that are you happy with the current width space of the tooth and the neighboring teeth, if so placement of the new crown can  established accordingly. However if you are not, then you may want to consider the placement of the crown after orthodontic treatment when the ideal width is achieved-this will also determine upon the condition of your tooth. Alternative to brace may be clear aligners like the Invisalign.
