Hi, Im not so sure how I feel about my veneers. My husband thinks they are too white and too big. I think my canines look a bit weird, being long and pointy that way. I think pointy canines make one look younger but I feel mine look a bit natural compared to the rest of my teeth, but I dont know how to make it look better. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you
Answer: Shape of porcelain veneers is a personal opinion While the photos certainly look acceptable, there ARE changes that could be made. The material used makes a difference as well, as some porcelains are more opaque, others more translucent. I personally think transclucent looks more natural, but if the underlying tooth is dark, there is less choice.... Square/too square is hard to say. My website has "style selections" to consider (link below), were you offered choices during treatment? We try to make decisions like this before the final restorations are created, however, a "too square" look can easily be contoured even at this point.

Answer: Square Veneers Hi Novemberfox! Your Veneers seem to be a little too square and not very feminine looking. Also there is no translucency. I do not feel they are feminine or natural looking....I think your upper front teeth need to be contoured more and get rid of the square look. You have beautiful teeth, just make them a little more feminine looking.....take good care of them and be happy!

Answer: Veneers too square... Yes they are, they look very masculine. Square tooth shape is often associated with more masculine looks and can change the character of a female smile dramatically. Rounding off the corners of your veneers may be an option, but for optimal results you need new veneers because the current shade also seems about half or one shade too dark compared to your other teeth. Not sure if this is the photographic effect but these veneers do project masculinity, good luck!

Answer: Veneers and aesthetics An enormous number of details go into making veneers. The experience and knowledge of a dentist will determine how many details are incorporated in the restorations. Your concern regarding squareness of the teeth is certainly valid. Also I would think about the surface texture (too smooth and shiny), opacity (the chewing edges should have more transparency than at the gumline), proportions (your teeth appear quite wide, but I have not pretreatment photographs for comparison and this might be your normal tooth size). The pointiness of the cuspids is not as great a concern; however how they come to a point could be modified. Hope this helps.

Answer: Veneers Hello,If you do not like the color you should go to your dentist to remove them and make new ones with the color you like, logically you should pay more for this.If it is because of the shape, your dentist can simply polish the veneers so that they have the most natural and aligned shape of your teeth.
