I want to take Finasteride for my Hair. I'm wondering if this will effect me having children down the road. (I'd like to start having kids in 2 or 3 years) I will stop taking it when I want to start having kids.

Answer: Finastride... side effects Finastride is FDA approved for men, and is used off-label for women who are post-menopausal. Finastride taken by a women will lead to side effects (to the fetus) should she get pregnant while taking Finastride. However if you stop the medication, and wait more than 30 days to get pregnant, then you do not have any danger.

Answer: Finasteride Yes, if a woman takes finasteride, particularly in the first trimester of pregnancy, she can have a baby with sexual identification anatomy problems. This should not be a problem if the husband is taking it
