Two months since balloon sinuplasty and now bleeding when I blow my nose?

It’s been two months since my balloon sinuplasty was done and I’ve started to get congested again and everytime i blow my nose blood comes out and then it follows a pain throughout my sinuses. Should this have me concerned? Or is it just a reaction?

Thanks for your question. While it is impossible to know what is going on with you without an exam, it sounds as if you are having a typical response to just balloon sinuplasty. In many situations the results may only be temporary due to the nature of the technique using balloons. The bleeding may be a result of the dryness of the air in winter, especially indoors.
