Am I a candidate for LASIK if I am +9.50?

My contact lense prescription is a +9.50. I am wondering if Lasik could do anything for me? I have tried to look it up before. The results always come back for myopia only. I appreciate your help!

You are outside the approved treatment range for LASIK. The only option for you is a refractive lens exchange (RLE), however it can be a high risk procedure due to the high prescription and many surgeons will not perform it. It is worth going in for an RLE consultation and speaking to the doctor who can give you more information after looking at all the measurements.

You are outside the approved range for LASIK, but might be eligible for some other type of treatment such as a clear lens extraction.  Myopia treatments work up to -12.00 Diopters, but hyperopia treatments are limited to about half that amount of +6.00 in general.  Some providers will not treat even this amount.
