I had PicoSure Laser Tattoo Removal 2 days ago. Is this normal 3 days after? (Photo)

Patients can experience some pain and/or redness after laser tattoo removal. It is possible to get a topical numbing agent or lidocaine injections before tattoo removal treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a laser tattoo removal expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Looking at your photo this seems to be a normal reaction with laser tattoo removal.  I am unsure what the redness is to the left of the tattoo.  I am assuming this is from the tape you are using with your wound care.  We do find some of our patients have a sensitivity to tape. When this happens we recommend that you use paper tape. The swelling, darkening of the tattoo and even blistering can be a normal reaction post tattoo laser treatments.  I would recommend that you contact your provider and follow-up.  At our office we encourage our patients to follow-up post treatment should they have any questions or concerns.   

very rare to se pain after 3 days. The area of concern is the red area to the left on the photo. You must go back and see your doctor. Keep the area clean and dry and use some antibiotic ointment until your are see. One treatmentment will not fade this tattoo very much. I would continue treatments as this will likely not happen again. You must fully discuss with your laser specialist.
