there is saliva getting caught under the tray which is causing me to have to make a "sucking" sound many times throughout the day ( it's driving me nuts. Not to mention it's embarassing. this is how I know the tray is loose but i cannot fit the second tray on yet. I feel absolutely not pressure on my teeth anymore.

In my opinion the distance that canine must be moved is probably better for conventional brackets and wires ( braces) - not invisalign. You should go for at least 2 consultations to see what they tell you.

As you clearly stated, you already had periodontal issues, and gum recession before treatment began. You also state that you are just a little past halfway done with your programmed aligner schedule. You cannot be concerned about where teeth are currently. They will continue to move and change....
