I am 30 and as you can see from the pictures I have an open bite and crooked teeth. I don't care much about the crooked teeth on the lower jaw, it's the open bite that I despise. Visited 2 orthodontists that told me they need to extract 4 teeth in order to install braces, but I have a feeling that's not even a question and that's their procedure for most of the patients.

If there is something that does not look right to you, your dentist should fix it before taking the braces off. You can insist that it be adjusted to your satisfaction. Remember, your provider works for you. You should be the one that says it is ok to remove them.
