Can Invisalign cause upper respiratory infection?

I'm on my first tray of Invisalign and on my second night I experienced intense pain inside my left ear, pressure and deafness. The next morning there is now puss leaking out and the pressure + deafness has now moved to my right ear. This has never happened before at the same time regarding middle ear infections.

Invisalign aligners causing ear infections is about as likely as trolls living in our stomachs causing indigestion. There is a remote possibility that you have an allergic reaction to the plastic; however if that were the case you most likely would feel burning in the gums beneath and around the aligners. You should best consult with your physician or an ear, nose and throat specialist.
