I had rhinoplasty 9 weeks ago to remove a small hump. The sides of the bulbous tip were 'thinned' slightly too. I thought my recovery was going great & at a 5 week review my surgeon signed me off; I was delighted. However the tip of my nose has become bright red. The tip is still numb, which I know is to be expected, but I'm worried this bright red may be permanent. Is this normal? How long should it last?

Answer: Bright Red Tip of Nose 9 Weeks following Rhinoplasty
It is not likely you sustained any damage that will affect your final outcome, but I would recommend following up with your surgeon so he or she may examine your nose to ensure you are healing properly. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck with the remainder of your recovery.
We find nasal stuffiness after rhinoplasty can last as long as eight weeks. The saline spray you are using is a safe approach as you will not become dependent as you might with other nasal spray decongestants.
