Can breast implants as well as other surgerys be covered under health insurance due to depression issues vs. years of therapy?

I don't think you will have any luck getting insurance to pay for implants on the basis of depression, regardless of what they are doing in England.

Thank you for the question.My suggestion would be to check with your insurance, although I don't think that plastic surgery is covered. You can get treated for depression and follow treatment according to what the Doctor would suggest after that.

Greetings,I have not seen a patient who has had health insurance coverage for breast implants as part of her treatment of depression.  I would strongly suspect that if you have a visible breast deformity or traumatic injury, your insurer might consider a request for the pre-authorization of a restorative procedure.I treat patients in my practice who are medicated for depression and their small breasts are not causal for their depression. I would have a reasonable level of comfort performing an elective breast augmentation on a patient whose depression is well controlled prior to the surgery. Best Regards,
