i had my breast implants almost 3 weeks ago and already had sex I'm nervous that maybe one of them popped I have saline the left one seems more swollwen then the right one
Answer: It takes a lot to rupture implants I don't think you should be too concerned about having ruptured your implant. Implant shells are very durable and it would take much more than having sex to cause a rupture. In addition, you would notice a rapid decrease in size if your breast implant ruptured within a day or so. However, this doesn't sound like it happened to you. The swelling may just be that the tissues were traumatized a bit, since you're still pretty early in your recovery.

Answer: Sex after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. I generally recommend waiting until all the swelling is down before engaging in sexual activity. So typically two weeks would be fine. However, I would not recommend a lot breast manipulation as part of your sexual activities until you are closer to six weeks. If you felt something pop and you are concerned, then I would visit with your plastic surgeon for a post-op follow-up visit.

Answer: Can my breast implant break during sex? Hello! Thank you for your question! Altitude and pressure have no effect on breast implants, whether saline or silicone. It is safe to travel by air within pressurized cabins or even scuba dive without concern. No further precautions should be taken during these activities. Certainly, discuss any concerns with your surgeon prior. In the same manner, blunt force will unlikely cause rupture. Repeated trauma from the folding io the implant over time is known to be associated with rupture. Obviously, penetrating trauma from sharp objects will also result in rupture. Both saline and silicone implants are very durable and daily activities will likely not cause any increased risk to the integrity of the implant. Hope that thus helps. Best wishes!

Answer: Breaking implant during sex
I'm sure you didn't break the implant. They are tough. The swelling you got probably has to do with traumatizing the tissues around the implant just 3 weeks after your surgery. Apply ice, take some Ibuprofen nad be a bit more gentle for a few more weeks!

Answer: Breast implant rupture? Highly unlikely. Increased swelling may be related to the sexual activity–you may want to take it easy for a while. Rupture of the implants would require significant force, unlikely to be sustained during sexual activity. If there is a leak you will notice a decrease in size/increase in rippling that will occur slowly (or occasionlly rapidly). See your physician for direct examination if you remain concerned. Best wishes.
