Can my Breast Implant Break During Sex

I don't think you should be too concerned about having ruptured your implant. Implant shells are very durable and it would take much more than having sex to cause a rupture. In addition, you would notice a rapid decrease in size if your breast implant ruptured within a day or so. However, this doesn't sound like it happened to you. The swelling may just be that the tissues were traumatized a bit, since you're still pretty early in your recovery. 

Thank you for your question. I generally recommend waiting until all the swelling is down before engaging in sexual activity. So typically two weeks would be fine. However, I would not recommend a lot breast manipulation as part of your sexual activities until you are closer to six weeks.  If you felt something pop and you are concerned, then I would visit with your plastic surgeon for a post-op follow-up visit.

It is safe to travel by air within pressurized cabins or even scuba dive without concern. No further precautions should be taken during these activities. Certainly, discuss any concerns with your surgeon prior. In the same manner, blunt force will unlikely cause rupture. Repeated trauma from the folding io the implant over time is known to be associated with rupture. Obviously, penetrating trauma from sharp objects will also result in rupture.
