Brazilian Bikini Laser Hair Removal - is It Healthy?

I was wondering if it is safe to laser remove hair from inside your private area? My gynecologist (one of the best in Boston) tells me not to shave it as it will interfere with the natural processes in there.

Completely false.  Only if someone was severely burned, and even then I doubt sensation would be entirely lost.

In general laser hair removal can cause temporary redness and bumps for a few days after treatment.  Bumps or redness that persist for longer should be examined.  Patients with frequent laser hair removal should notice less ingrown hairs, not more.
