Are exposed healing caps at time of implant insertion a bad idea?

waterlight
1. Are exposed healing caps at time of implant insertion always a bad idea because this can allow bacteria growth? 2 Should a submerged cover screw be used instead of a healing cap when the implant is inserted, allowing the gum to heal around the cover screw and then later opened for abutment placement) --- lessening chance of bacterial growth? 3. If I have an exposed implant at time of implant insertion, and use good oral hygiene during the healing process, no pain or pus, should I be OK?
