Would trimming my front teeth to be even with the other uppers be necessary? Are they not the issue? (photo)

thank you for your question.  beauty is so subjective.  it all depends on what you want for yourself, your smile, and the teeth that show at rest.  you have beautiful teeth.  all the options that you are thinking of are viable options...

contouring your 2 front teeth, will shorten them and make them more even,  however, when you "rest" your lips where you now show 2 teeth, may show no teeth at all, giving the appearance of not having any upper teeth. Visit a dentist and he/she may be able to do a "mock up" on your teeth with composite to give you and idea of what it would look like if you added length to the teeth on the side of your front teeth.

Your front teeth are of proper size and shape.  Depending on how your bite is, you / your dentist can consider either buffing the two front teeth very slightly to make shorter which will also remove the chips or you can veneer the side teeth to make them slightly longer.
