My current dentist in Jan of 2024 placed a crown to protect it due to hairline cracks for $2k, and he did not see an infection. In March, he had to drill a hole to do root canal due to extreme pain. Now he says that, replacing a crown would do more damage, so let's just fill the existing. He would not charge, but it is my call. What should I do?
