Blue Light Therapy with Levulan Freckles?

I am scheduled for Bluelight therapy with levulan for my acne but I want to know will it also help with freckles and fine lines? Also, will I peel? I want a second opinion other than my derm. Thanks

UVA and UVB penetrate very superficially. Most light sources that are used in PDT can penetrate deeper. Unfortunately 1 or 3 treatments with PDT can't reverse all the sun exposure and damage you already have.  My patients generally return for maintenance treatments every 3-5 years.

Levulan is active on your skin for 48 hours after application.  You need to stay out of the sun (or any other bright light source) for 48 hours, or you can get a burn.  You will actually feel tingling, burning, or warmth, and this is an indication that the medication is being activated...
