Is the white part scar tissue or will it go back to normal? (Photo)

I received 2 sessions of tattoo removal. The 1st time nothing happen it healed nicely, the second time it hurt more intensely. After the session it scabbed and blistered and as it begins to peel i notice the white spots under the scabbed part which is alot of the tattoo. Is the white part scar tissue or will till go back to normal.

White discoloration after tattoo removal usually improves with time or fractional laser treatments or latisse.  Please continue your treatments and then consider furture options for any "ghosting" effect.  Best, Dr. Emer.

This is known as hypopigmentation.  it may take several months to years before it repigments in or it could be permanent. This is a risk of laser tattoo removal and only time will tell.  What type of laser was utilized? 1064 may be better on ethnic skin with less risk however the risk of all lasers include lightening or darkening of the skin and even scarring. Most effects are temporary although this could be permanent
