Can I take propecia 1mg once a week without getting side effects? (Photos)

Hello I would like to know if I can take propecia 1mg once a week without getting side effects and being effecting for my hair loss.I took generic finasteride 0.25mg every other day for 20 days and I got erectile dysfunction in the third week. So will taking propecia 1mg once a week be side effect free and effective. The first picture I posted is recent and after using rogaine for 5 months, which i'm still using. The second picture is when I was using rogaine for 2 months.

Thank you for your question and posting your pictures. Unfortunately, individual responses and side effects are difficult to predict. Also, Propecia 1 mg once per week is not likely to be of benefit. There are some topical preparations available through many hair restoration clinics that include finasteride and in clinical studies have been shown to be effective. These must be prescribed by a physician and come from a compounding pharmacy.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

There is no guarantee in this case that you will not experience erectile dysfunction on 1 mg once a week dosing and no guarantee it will be effective either.

The effects of the one mg dose taken once a week is far less than the recommended dose. I will not know if there will be side effects
