Can pulse dye laser treatment be used for a hemangioma on the lip if the lips are red?

I have a small hemangioma on the bottom of my lip. It's about pea size. Maybe a little smaller and I wanted to get pulse dye laser treatment done. However im afraid that it will cause discoloration of that spot on my lip.

Yes, we use pulsed dye laser treatments on hemangiomas all the time on the lip. It's best to see a board-certified laser expert for this type of treatment.

A pulsed dye laser can definitely be used to treat a hemangioma on the lip.  It should only affect the color of the hemangioma and not the rest of your lip.
