Is a thread lift safer than dermal filler? I do smoke and I am quitting.

Recently I had a consultation with a cosmetic physician, he advised that I should not do dermal fillers as I have a lot of volume in my face and it would look strange if I added more, which I agree it could look strange and I didn’t want a lot added. I did talk to him about complications etc, but I am still nervous and want to know how safe thread lifts are. I do smoke (1-3cigarettes per day) and I am quitting, I feel that it would be unsafe to get this procedure if I am still smoking.

Waiting couple weeks post treatment for post treatment swelling to resolve is recommended if the treatment is in the same area. If the thread treatment is not in the same area as the filler, can be done immediately. Thanks
