Puckered scar/scar tissue formation after BCC removal. Can I have a revision? (Photo)

Question

I had a BCC removed from the side of my nose about a month ago by a plastic surgeon via my local public hospital. Unfortunately, there is a lump that causes my nose to look very asymmetrical and distorted. I feel as if the this lump hasn't changed at all in this time. Is it possible to have a revision? I'm only 21.

I'm not sure about the size and the location and the subtype of the initial BCC, but from those photos it appears to be a good outcome. There are always things you can do to improve the scar after the surgery but I encourage you to discuss this with a specialist such as dermatologists or plastic surgeons in your local area.

Yes, you can have a scar revision but there is a good chance your site is still healing and I wouldn't recommend a revision until at least 3 months have passed. Needing to have a BCC removed at such a young age means you need to be persistent about proper skincare and sun care!!! "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
