How many weeks should laser hair removal sessions be spaced out for face and neck/hair line?

I have recently started getting laser hair removal for face an neck. I have had 2x sessions so far and each have ben spaced 2 weeks apart. Is this normal? I thought it was meant to be at least 6 weeks apart? Will going in earlier be wasting my time or money? My hair on my face grows quite slowly, so by the time i go in, only the very tip of the thicker hairs have JUST come through where as alot of them are still beneath the surface. She said after my 3rd session, she will space them 3 weeks apart

Great question. We typically space laser hair removal (LHR) treatment sessions for the face and neck area 4 to 6 weeks apart. For the body, sessions are usually spaced 8 to 12 weeks apart. Two weeks is a very short amount of time to wait in between. Discuss this with your provider before your next session if you have concerns, and be sure that he or she is qualified and experienced. If you have any reservations about continuing your LHR treatments with this particular provider, it’s absolutely okay to seek a second or third opinion elsewhere.

Two weeks apart is WAY too soon. Laser hair sessions should be 4-6 weeks apart.
So sorry - you may have to have a few extra treatments now for best results.

I typically space sessions for Laser Hair Reduction about 4-5 weeks apart for the face and neck. In my practice, two weeks apart is too soon and i would recommend a longer interval time between treatments.Best wishes,Pamela Stuart, MD
