If you can not absolutely wait till after your pregnancy (which is recommended), then it is ok to expose the implant with local anesthesia with a minimally invasive approach. Best to advise your doctors.

Dear Liz: You MUST go back to your dentist t adjust this.  You are bothered by it, and yet, this has to be in your mouth for many years to come. Any changes can be done, and if the crown has to be remade then so be it.  Do not wait. Go back to your dentist asap. Best of luck,
