I'm 50 years old. I'm noticing signs of aging on my chest, neck, & lower face. I also want a slight brow lift. I'm wondering about scars, pros and cons. Cost, pain and recovery time? I live in Georgia close to Atlanta. Have not found many doctors here yet that do this procedure. But I would like to have it done the first of next year. Want to look like myself just refreshed. My mid face is starting to show signs of gravity along with my neck bands. Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you for your question and for providing a picture. Threads are great regardless of the brand. The inserted threads grip the skin underneath. These are usually inserted in a mesh-like pattern into the skin. Collagen begins to form around these threads, tightening the skin over time and improving skin quality and texture. As a result, the results from smooth threads are usually gradual. You will not find many board certified plastic surgeons that use tread lifts of any kind! That is technique (s) that did not show any lasting results and as such should be abundant. However, consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in facial rejuvenation may give you opportunity to change your mind and consider neck or neck/face lift as a much more predictable and long lasting procedure.
