I had a microdermabrasion treatment yesterday. The technician went lightly over my cheeks and forehead, but spent a lot of time on my dark spots. After the treatment and today, the dark spots look bigger! It looks similar to when the dermatologist froze one spot years ago...it almost looks like I have scabbing. Is this normal and will it heal? What do I do!

Sensitivity after microdermabrasion is normal and should settle down on its own. In the meantime, keep your skin protected, use moisturizer, an SPF cream, and don’t use harsh exfoliants until your skin is fully recovered.
