Allergic to implant material?

your bite, to adjust any areas that are higher and hitting harder than others.

or TMJ area. Relaxation exercises, yoga, and alternating warm/cool compresses
are very useful for home treatment of disorders like TMJ issues.

Dental implants are usually made with titanium which seldom causes allergic reactions. Cobalt, Chromium and other metals do cause a reaction. You can get tested for this using a test called Melisa Test (melisa.org). Your symptoms do not really correlate to an allergic reaction but if you and your dentist are concerned this is a good way of finding out. If you are allergic to titanium and the decision is made to remove the material from your jaw rest assured that there are other implant materials available.
