I'm a 22 y/o male on tray 26/45 of invisalign. Unfortunately, large black triangles/food traps have appeared. I knew of the risk, as I had some slight gum recession beforehand, but these are way worse than expected. I'm afraid they are causing irreversible damage. Hopefully the photos illustrate my concerns. It's hard to tell, but my central and lateral top incisors literally don't touch. My bottom left canine and lateral incisor also have 0 contact right now. Thank you all.

This is common in Invisalign especially with back molars. Usually you can use a chewie that your orthodontist can give you to help seat the tray better, they may also trim the tray and pick up that molar in your next scan but it's nothing to worry about, just consult with your orthodontist so...
Your teeth can be corrected with invisalign to close the spaces and improve the bite relation...HOWEVER, there are some gum problems that need to be properly diagnosed and treated BEFORE Invisalign can be started.
