Hi and thank you for your question! Vivace is a newer treatment, gaining a lot of popularity over the last 6 months to a year. It is needling with radiofrequency. It allows the provider to determine depth of the needles, the RF level as well as the milliseconds or exposure time. There are non-insulated "tips" for skin types 1-3/4 and insulated needles for skin types 4-6 to allow for safety even with darker/olive skin types and those susceptible to hyperpigmentation. It is able to be set by the provider so that it can be a more tolerable treatment with little downtime or a more intense treatment, but still without the downtime of lasers or other resurfacing devices. We are often combing it with PRP, which is having quite impressive results. I did four of them over the course of 4 months and could see a definite improvement in the skin quality (even after the first two).
