Dark pores/hair follicles on chest: nothing has lightened these marks. (Photo)

Hi. I have dark pores/ hair follicles on my chest which are very embarrassing. I've tried acne body washes, Retin-A, over the counter creams, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid etc. Although my skin becomes smoother, nothing has lightened these marks. Are there any options involving lasers or cosmetic surgery that may help? Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your question. It is common for people to develop pigmentation changes in areas of repeated or prolonged inflammation and so this could possibly be related to shaving. However, there also seems to be similar skin changes on your forehead and the dorsum of your nose. Is this the case...

Skin lightening can be improved with different combination creams. Treatments vary from one individual to another depending on the skin type. Both of those options are a great approach, so try to only commit to one and stay consistent for a good amount of time to see which one...
