Can Minoxidil absorption be negatively affected by wearing a hat?

Does wearing a beany immediately after applying minoxidil, effect the absorption negatively? Thank you!

The beanie could absorb some of the liquid if it is still wet so that it does not absorb into your scalp. You might also want to consider the oral version of minoxidil so that you do not have to be concerned with your hat-wearing habits.

Minoxidil is absorbed into the scalp within a few hours of application. As long as you're waiting that time period of 3 or more hours, wearing a hat afterwards does not interfere with this process.

Hello and thank you for your question. Typically it's best to avoid direct contact with your scalp for at least 24 hours but 48 is probably better. This will give you maximum absorption of the Minoxidil. Good luck.
