If I Have Only Been on Accutane 3 Weeks, Can I Have Laser Liposuction?

I want to have smartlipo on my outer thighs, but am on Accutane. I have only been on it 17 days and was wondering if I could get the surgery within the next week, would it be safe?

Regardless of what type of liposuction is used, compression garments are often recommended and there may be a skin crease created by a fold or edge of the garment. This is usually spontaneously reversible.

Be very careful using icepacks after liposuction.  The skin may be numb even if you're sore deeper. You might not know you're hurting the skin by applying to much ice and leaving it on too long if it's numb. Check with your surgeon what your specific instructions are.

Dark spots after liposuction may be postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. In other words, the melanocytes, or pigment cells of your skin, might have been overactive after the incisions heal. This is usually temporary but can take many many months to go away. The lightening cream will often help...

Its possible you have some lingering swelling or inflammation that would go away with more time.  I would wait at least 6 months, but if it doesn't go away you probably have some underlying gynecomastia that is more sensitive because the fat was removed around it but the hard glandular tissue ...
