Which filler/injectible should I use for laugh lines to get the longest lasting results? And how much should I expect to pay? I'm not sure what to do to get a fresher, younger look. I'm 38.

Answer: Longest-lasting fillers for laugh lines Thank you for your question. The duration of fillers varies from patient to patient, depending on the specific product used, where it is injected, and how quickly the patient metabolizes the hyaluronic acid. I often use Restylane Refyne for the lines around the mouth. In addition to allowing for natural facial movement after treatment, this filler tends to last a bit longer. I would say on average, you can expect your results to last 6 months to 1 year. Always work with an experienced, board-certified injector to ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Filler around the mouth The filler that is used the most in my practice for areas around the mouth is Restylane Defyne or Restylane Silk. I like these fillers because they are smoother and provide more natural results. These fillers move well when making facial expressions so that you do not see lines of filler in that area. I like the Restylane Defyne for marionette lines. I like to use Restylane Silk for fine lines around the mouth and lips. These fillers normally last about 4-6 months depending on the patient. Restylane Defyne cost $750.00 for 1 syringe and Restylane Silk cost $600.00 for 1 syringe. I recommend a consult with a skilled Plastic Surgeon to see what injections may be best to reach your goals.

Answer: Bellafill is a Long-Lasting Filler for Laugh Lines My permanent filler of choice is Bellafill. With a five year indication Bellafill lasts much longer than most fillers and is also FDA-approved to treat smile lines. Bellafill contains tiny microspheres that are suspended within a collagen base. Overtime, this collagen forms a foundation that adds volume to wrinkles. Bellafill is very safe and effective in the right hands. I would advise that you research doctors that provide it as it is a permanent filler. The cost of Bellafill varies depending on how many syringes your doctor recommends. It is a longer lasting filler so it can be more economical than fillers that require frequent maintenance.
