Is it possible to drive yourself home after Smart Lipo?
Answer: Why would you want to??? After any surgery, there is a possibility that you may have difficulties and not be 'quite yourself'. For this reason, it is a very bad idea to drive home after surgery. You may feel quite well, but have serious issues after surgery and get in an accident. Take a cab if you don't have transportation

Answer: Laser lipolysis and driving home This really depends on the medications you have recieved and the extent of the procedure. If you are simply having you neck or outer thighs that is quite feasible but having your abdomen, inner and outer thighs treated and driving home alone may not be necessarily wise

Answer: Post-surgery driving It is not a good idea to drive yourself home after a procedure whehter it is liposuction or something else. Many times you are given medications to sedate you, and you certainly do not want to fall asleep at the wheel. We make it a rule in my office that a patient has to be accompanied home by someone, and we recommend that someone stays with you for at least 24 hours after the procedure.

Answer: Driving home after any surgical procedure should be strongly discouraged. SmartLipo is still liposuction and it is a surgical procedure. Despite the fact that it is done under local anesthesia, I would not recommend to any of my patients that they drive home. You never know when you may feel queasy, leak some blood, or any number of other concerns that are not anticipated. Get a friend or trusted one to drive you home.

Answer: Caution about driving home after SmartLipo If your procedure is done with straight local anesthesia, there are no bandages blocking your view and you have not been treated in an area that could pain or cramp your foot peddles or steering wheel...then you are OK. If you take oral medical such as Valium or Precocet, have procedures done in you neck, arms or legs, these would all represent conditions that would make it more prudent to have someone drive you.
