Does the 1064 q switch YAG laser cause skin cancer?

I want to do this treatment, but I'm afraid that some certain of skin cancer or damage could arise from it, like melanoma. Are q switch lasers safe?

q switch lasers are meant for treatments like tattoo removal.  THey are very rapid pulse and can be very painful.  To answer your question does a laser cause cancer?  In and of itself lasers do not cause cancer, but, they should not be used on a patient that has had skin cancer or precancerous lesions because they could stimulate a cancer in an already susceptible patient.
