I'm 40 years old and I've been debating trying Sculptra for a long time. I'm a runner, very active and typically burn thru fillers within 2 months. After going to a few PS and other RN's and not getting good results, and by not good, I mean I looked weird and unnatural! I finally found a bunch of great reviews on yelp for Michelle Hunter RN( I think it's called Zona Med Spa, it's in Scottsdale) . I've been going to her for about two years. Love her! I had it done around noon today so it will take a while to see actual results. (6-9 months). My face is a bit swollen/sore in the cheek area but no bruising. ... at least not yet.. I've been taking arnica and massaging every couple hours as directed. I'm hopeful! I'll be going back in 4 weeks to see if we need to add one or two more. I will update later as I know more. I will add the pix they took today so you can see before/after. Updated on 22 Jul 2016: I'm more swollen today than I was after the injection- thankful I don't have any public events to attend today. It's also a little sore but nothing that interferes with my day. I'm massaging five times a day and started icing this morning. I also started talking tumeric for the swelling. Probably should've started yesterday! Oops! Updated on 22 Feb 2018: My journey with facial fillers has been long and expensive. I met Michelle, at Zona Med Spa in 2015 after reading reviews on Google(?), I think. Up until this point, I had tried every single HA filler on the market, having spent thousands of dollars only to have it disappear within a couple months time. Michelle was the first to take the time to listen. After describing what I had tried, she thought I might need to try a new product. Radiesse was the first, she explained it was not an HA filler, and can not be easily reversed. It generates your collagen to work in your own body. I was scared, but she only did a half and it instantly looked better. We waited about a month to try the other half. No issues, and it looked really good. I was still lacking volume primarily in my temples and outer cheeks. Seeing how well I responded to Radiesse, Michelle mentioned sculptra... went in in January for my first injection. All went well, I set my alarm to make sure I was massaging in order to prevent nodules. At first i didn't think it worked. I was told it would take a month or two after the 2nd injection to start to notice. I waited one full month (didn't see a change), got an additional injection exactly one month later. Waited another month and still didn't notice but didn't want to go back and spend more money on something that wasn't working. Low and behold, a week later, I woke up with full, subtle cheeks and temples. I no longer looked hollowed out. Sculptra changed the texture of my skin in such a positive way. Since 2015, I go in once a year for one vial. I'm due for another one right now. I love how it improves the texture of my skin and plumps it out in a very natural way. Sculptra is the most natural looking product I've ever tried on my skin. Michelle is amazing, I love it that she takes the less is more approach. None of her clients look like they've had anything done. I've had a few friends who have had horrible experiences, with inexperienced injectors. Michelle has been kind enough to extend her time and expertise to fix them as well.
