Puckering on One Side but Love the Other Side I got a thread lift for the first time, using the barbed sutures. One side of my face looks much improved and lifted. The other side has “a pucker” and I can see the thread through my skin. It’s super noticeable and I’m worried because I am online all day for my job
Updated on 13 Oct 2020:
The puckering went down considerably. I can still see it but unless you’re at a very specific angle it isn’t noticeable. Judy has called multiple times to check on me and is willing to help do all she can to make it better
Smart Lipo —so far not regrets! I've always been active at gym and balanced my diet between let or high protein/low carbs but I never good get the definition in my abdomen. I would either loss excessive amount of weight and loss all my curves all together or just look bulky from weight training. So I researched a couple of options knowing I didn't want traditional Lipo because I felt it was too aggressive and unnecessary for the results I want. I was going back and forth between smart Lipo and cool sculpting and ultimately decided on smart Lipo since it was 70% re-education verses cool sculpting which is 25% and roughly the same price. Just had my procedure done Thursday June 18th and so far not regrets!

Was very sore overnight didn’t want to take my pain pills but ultimately had to because I was so stiff I could barely roll side to side in bed. Once the pain meds kicked in I was resting comfortably. Draining a lot of fluid which I was told was expected and that it’s mainly the anesthesia that was pumped in me for the procedure. My appetite is ok watching that I’m not taking in excessive amounts of sodium or carbs.

Was able to take the garment off and take my first shower. I was hesitant about washing the treated areas just gave myself a slow soapy massage in those areas. Still very swollen but the stiffness has subsided some and I’m able to bend and sit up with more ease. Pain is very minimal only have been taking 500mg Tylenol roughly every 6hrs. No more drainage either!
Updated on 24 Jun 2020:
Returned back to work I mainly sit at a desk. Uncomfortable sitting upright feels better when leaning back slightly. Not quite able to tie my shoes or bend gracefully. No drainage at this point can barely see my incision areas. Noticing some lumps on the sides plan on getting a lymphatic massage on Friday. I haven’t been too successful with massaging myself due to it being painful. Also still swollen and can feel the garment getting tighter because of that.
Updated on 26 Jun 2020:
Went to one of the best lymphatic masseuse today! She really loosened up all the hard spots and stated that I came just in time. She also advised that if I want to have better results I need to start wearing a faja ASAP and that the compression garment that I was instructed to buy from the doctor isn’t doing me much justice. Which I agreed because I was noticing my sides weren’t healing very smoothly nor was my waist as cinched as I hoped it to be. Will be going to her 3 times a week for until my 4week f/u appointment with my doctor. Also after the massage I feel less sore and able to move better.
Updated on 29 Jun 2020:
Got a stage 2 faja to promote lymphatic drainage and for better compression. Was swelling and developing hard spots because I wasn’t wearing a proper compression garment.

Swollen with hard lumps which I’m told is normal at this time of the healing process but still very alarming.
Updated on 17 Jul 2020:
Waist is getting snatched! Lumps are dissolving slowly but surely and now I’m a believer that it’s part of the process. For a second thought I was having a bad reaction but nope perfectly normal! Will be upgrading to a stage 3 faja very soon! Sides are still tender to touch.
28 Yo Female Upper and Lower Abs - Center Valley, PA So Today I went in and got my Coolsculpting done!!!!! 9am I was brought into the office and we reviewed the procedure. My tech Annie was extremely nice and took the time to explain everything that I didn't already know and how each step was going t work out. First and foremost she was very very honest and upfront about what I was going to feel and really took the time to let me know what was going to happen.
The procedure started by me stripping into some very unflattering shorts that they provided so I wouldn't get ay of the gel on my own clothing. We proceeded to take pictures from multiple angles and then Annie marked my stomach. This pictures are being uploaded to a private drive in a few days so I will post them as son as I get them. I was getting a diamond pattern on my upper and lower abs. I layed on the bed and they placed the protective film onto my stomach which was cold, real cold. lol The attachment was placed n the first part of my lower abs and the suction was not too intense but it was an odd feeling. Once the cold kicked in it was a little shocking but nothing unbearable. If you can get past the first 5 minutes you are smooth sailing. I proceeded to sit and watch tv in my little spa room with my pager button if I should need Annie. It was a welcomed day off from work :) Next thing I know Annie is walking in and my first hour was up....I had managed to catch a few zzzz's . I read other reviews where people said it was painful but I slept and was in no pain.
It came time to remove the applicator and that was fine. A little odd but again no pain. Then I see the stick of "butter" Annie prepared me and started to massage....and that hurt but again nothing too excruciating just felt like I had sunburn and someone was massaging my skin a little too hard. However after a few minutes the skin was warm and the pain subsided. I only had a few little red "hickie" marks so Annie explained that those were the areas where I would bruise if I ended up bruising at all.
We went through the other lower ab the same way and it was exactly like the first. Annie prepared me saying the upper abs hurt a little more than the lower and she was right. The initial suction and freezing was a little "stingy" but not painful. She said it was because it was closer to my ribs and I had less fat there than I did on my lowers which is true.
Went through two applicators....and again no pain but the massaging was the most painful part.
I was swollen after but not in any pain after the first few minutes of massage I went downstairs and proceeded to have laser sclerotherapy and needle injections so needless to say I was in good moving shape and had no limitations. My total cost was $2400 (they threw in the first sclerotherapy session I wanted as a bonus $450 value) I drove home after everything and was perfectly fine.
I will be posting my before pics as soon as they are available. Will keep you updated
Smart Lipo After 50 - Lehigh Valley, PA I had a great experience with a very qualified doctor. The pain was minimal. my body healed very naturally. The only problem is I was quite thick around the middle and the results are not all that I had hoped for. I'm considering a revision on upper and Lower abs for a nominal price but I want to make sure my results will be worth it. My measurements are still over 30" and my clothes still don't fit the way I would like.
51 Year Old Male Getting Flabby..... - Bethlehem, PA After doing some research on-line (maybe not enough?) I decided to go for an evaluation (2-19) to see if I qualified for CoolSculpting. The first place I went to checked me over, and after getting a second opinion from the nurse who actually does the procedure, said I did not have enough fat to perform the procedure. I was disappointed and happy at the same time. There was another local medical spa that was offering the procedure for 25% off and free evaluations so for the heck of it I set up an appointment with them on 2-23. Well, their opinion was different and said that I did qualify/meet the requirements to have it done. After I sitting through the presentation and asking questions I decided I was going to move ahead with it, plus that had an opening the following day. I thought "why not", get it done asap and see the results as the warm weather arrives. After reading many of the reviews here I started to have second thoughts!! I called the place first thing in the am with more questions and Lesley, the patient care coordinator, went over the stats from their office and that alleviated my fears. It's hard to tell from the pics, but the belly fat, which i had very little of three years ago, really started to bother me!! So it was a go for noon!!
Updated on 1 Mar 2016:
Well, I went for my CoolSculpting procedure on Feb 24 at noon. I was a bit apprehensive after reading quite a bit here. I was talked through the procedure and had the series of before photos taken. I changed around into more comfortable/easier access clothes and then the fun began. The pad application was Ok, but once the vacuum pulled in the skin it was a bit uncomfortable. Hmmm...an hour to go. I started feeling very lightheaded as if I might pass out, so I used the call button for the tech. Make a long story short.....be sure to eat something before going for the procedure...as instructed!! She gave me a snack and some Gatorade to drink and then I was fine. It was a bit uncomfortable for the hour but not unbearable. One side done and then onto the next and another hour. I was a bit sore after the 2nd hour, and it felt good once the pad was removed and she massaged the location. I didn't have such a big lump like some of the pics since I wasn't real flabby, but it still looked weird afterward!! I still have some numbness in the area as well as occasional pain, but not too much. I haven't had to take anything except for when I initially came home and developed a migraine, which I rarely have. Other then that I really haven't had an issue with any major pains. I pretty much went back to my daily routine with some usual exercising thrown in. So far I see no difference but it's still early at this point. See how it goes as the time moves on......
Updated on 3 Mar 2016:
Today is one week after the procedure. So far so good. Some minor pain when I do certain movements and the area is still numb but that seems to be lessening as time goes by. I'll be watching to see if the flabby area starts to disappear as the weeks move on.....
Updated on 26 May 2016:
Well, it's now 3 months since my CoolSculpting procedure. I went for my final follow-up visit with more pics being taken. I can see a slight difference from how it was but I wonder if this was worth the expense of $1300 for the pretty much final result. I also wonder if the first place that i went to that said I did NOT have enough fat to make the CoolSculpting worthwhile was actually correct? According to Denise pretty much of what is left is just excess skin and the fat layer underneath is gone. So I still have the flabby area/roll right at my waistband area and according to her there's not much that can be done with that except for surgery to remove the excess skin, which I would not do. Not the results I was hoping for with the warm weather that's here now.........
Updated on 16 Jun 2016:
Well, more then four months after and a waste of money. I seriously wonder whether I should have had the procedure. At Young's Medical Spa they said I was a good candidate for the procedure....at Ideal Image they said I didn't have enough fat to make it worth the expense. I was hoping that since the Young Medical Spa was "doctor supervised" that maybe they had more expertise with the procedure/equipment. WRONG. The change is so slight but not worth $13001! Yup, I think it was a rip-off and I'm not impressed with Young Medical Spa. The only time I saw the Dr was when I was leaving the office and I passed him, other then that I wonder if he had any dealings with my case? Doubtful!! He got his money so he's happy......
Updated on 14 Nov 2016:
Well, here it is, 9 months later. I see no difference in my appearance....at all. The only thing that has changed is my bank account to the tune of $1300 less then I had before!! I would say to anyone going for the procedure...buyer beware! It seems like even places that are supposed to be very well run/doctor supervised have no guarantees on the success of the procedure. Maybe if you have a lot of fat around your midsection it works, but in my case, even after being told I was a good candidate for the procedure, it was NOT worth it!! Because of that, I would NOT recommend YOUNG MEDICAL SPA!!!
Updated on 12 Feb 2017:
Well, a year after the procedure and for me it was a waste of money. The difference is not even noticeable. After $1300 expense and the "promise" of results, the only results I see are pretty much the same view in the mirror that I had before the procedure and my bank account being $1300 less then it was. I would say buyer beware for sure. Maybe get second opinions.....or third....to make sure the procedure is a good choice for you. For me it was not. I would have been better off saving the money or going for broke and just getting the Zip Tuck procedure which appears to offer far better results for people with my body type/weight. Oh well....a lesson learned. As I said before, think twice about going to Young Medical Spa in the Lehigh Valley, PA area.
Baby Pooch and Love Handles - Velashape Education
I had a previous experience with Velashape at a different place and had no results. I really thought it was a waste of money. I have been considering Smartlipo , but am not mentally ready for that. My baby pooch and love handles really weren't that big and I couldn't see going as far as smartlipo to get rid of them.
So, I saw an ad for Velashape at another place buy 1 area and get another area free. Belly and love handles, seemed like a good deal. I am happy to say I'm glad I did.
Here's something I learned about Velashape ladies (and I think it goes the same for a good facial or massage!) Velashape is only as good as the person who is doing it. My technician was great! This time was so much different than the first time I had it done! I saw a reduction the second session and even more at the end of 6. I went from a size 8 jeans back in to my 6 jeans. So don't blame the machine because I know for a fact it is operator depedent now!
