I've had a Rhinoplasty last Wednesday(6 days ago). My nose is very fat and bothersome. My doctor says it's normal and will narrow down. But I'm skeptical. Is it normal? And I'm not able to talk normally, my breathing is clogged and I have some severe chest pain sometimes(more like not pain but a sensation of I can feel my heart beat). Is it normal during recovery? I met Dr Shapiro and must say he was honest and cared about what I said.. he provided me with previous client who I spoke with me.. being a nurse who works in the surgery field I am very aware of things that could go wrong Updated on 12 Feb 2021: Surgery today... im home now.. lots of pain and nauseous but the meds are helping... the procedure took about 4 1/2 hours.. neck lipo and SMAS lift.. Looking forward to the results.. Dr Shapiro was wonderful Updated on 13 Feb 2021: Pain is much better today.. kinda scary when I took the bandages off... my earlobe is sewn up.. and my face is squished and wide and I look like a man... hoping it settles and looks more natural.. keeping my hopes up Updated on 13 Feb 2021: Pain is more bearable now.. not really sure how this is gonna turn out.. kinda nervous.. my face is pulled and it looks fat and wide.. my kids say I look like a man... ugh.. my earlobe is sewed up.. im hoping swelling goes down and face softens up..keep u posted Updated on 15 Feb 2021: I feel like one side is healing way better than the other side.. still having slight pain at nite... but the headaches in my temple areas are excruciating... hope its only temporary.. post op visit in 3 days Updated on 22 Feb 2021: Still swollen.. but the sutures around my upper ears have pulled my eyes down and looking more wrinkly... ugh However loving my chin and neck. Got a steriod injection for the swelling.. My cheeks and jawline look great ... I do still feel some numbness and pulling by my stitches at my ears Overall it was totally worth it
