For years anytime I had a picture made my eyes would become tiny little lines and disappear into my face. I always wanted big beautiful eyes, but the older I got the heavier my eyelids got to the point where you couldn't even see the actual lid anymore. All you saw was sagging skin. So on my 60th birthday, when my husband asked me what I wanted for a birthday present, I told him, "Upper eyelid Surgery". I had, had other wonderful experiences at The Virginia Institute for Surgical Arts and felt confident that Dr. V would be the right person to perform this procedure. Dr. V took her time. The surgical room is immaculately clean. I was able to have my surgery on a Saturday so that my husband could take me to and from the facility. I experienced no pain what so ever and felt relaxed and comfortable even though I was awake. The numbing injections were very effective. The procedure took approximately 90 minutes. I took a nap when I got home and have felt fantastic since. Anytime I have had a question since the procedure, Dr. V has called me right away. I'm extremely pleased. Updated on 21 Dec 2014: Here are some pictures. Right after surgery, one week and two weeks. Keep in mind I'm a bruiser and most people do not bruise like I do. I'm very excited about my progress. Dr v review Every year I do something cosmetically for myself for my birthday since turning 40. A month before my 41st birthday I went to see Dr. V because of my sagging chin. They convinced me to have a lower facelift at 41 years old. They also said that I would benefit from sculptura for the fat loss on my temples. I was most concerned about my chin, whenever I look in the mirror that is all I see. They told me the way to lift my chin was a lower facelift. I believed them. They only worked on the face so they had to be good, right? After all, this is their area of expertise. When I went in for my post surgical appointment my chin still look the same to which they replied that The lower facelift works only on the face and doesn’t target the chin at all. My ONLY reason for going in was my double chin. ONLY reason. To add insult to injury they lied to me about the scars that I would have. They said that I would have a line in front of my ear and directly behind my ear but they did not tell me that they would bunch my skin in a line going out from behind my ear that would leave horrific, Frankenstein scars. I will never wear my hair up freely again. I was getting my hair and make up done a couple weeks ago for a wedding and the hair lady said, “oh my, do you want me to put your hair down around this so nobody sees?” I have to have hair down on the scars even when I work out or it’s hot out. I am a Caucasian woman and it’s been three years and the scars are still awful. If I scarred this badly, I can only imagine other peoples scars. On the day of my surgery they told me that I wouldn’t even be getting the sculptura while I was under. So why did they charge me $699 for each of the two syringes of sculptura? To boost their end of year sales. I only used one syringe of the sculpture right after my surgery. I that appointment, they told me to save my other one and that my scars would improve greatly. They have not and I never went back to get the second syringe of sculptura. I never went back because I am so angry about the scars they left on my fucking head. I’m so angry that I spent so much money and time recovering from a surgery they told me would lift my chin. They didn’t hear me and they didn’t address my problem. They gave me the surgery that cost the most to make more money. I recently called to get refunded the 699 for the sculptura that I didn’t use. They left me on hold for a very long time and then they hung up on me and then they wouldn’t answer the phone when I called back. They have not called me back. I didn’t write this review sooner because I’m embarrassed and I didn’t want the world to know that I had this lower face left at the age of 41. But I’m guessing that many people don’t leave reviews for the same reason. But then to treat me like trash and not give me back a measly $699 when they’re making thousands and thousands every day is [RS bleep]. Do not spend your money here. They care more about profits than they do people. There are way better doctors.
I came here for microneedling of a facial scar that had really bad texture and hyperpigmentation. I've done 4 overall treatments with Erin and it looks absolutely amazing. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is used here with the microneedling and that is an essential part of it. I don't trust anyone else to do this and you shouldn't either! She knows what she's doing, she knows about the science behind it all, and she has a lot of experience.
Due to the concave nature of the temple, Sculptra would the be better option. You could use HA filler, however, it would take multiple syringes to try and fill the area. I hope that helps!
We recommend that you see a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon with background training in ENT to evaluate both the functional and aesthetic need of your nose.
We usually inject a few units of Botox to treat the depressor septi muscle, so the effect will go away after a couple months. After it wears off you can get a rhinoplasty.
The choice of oral/local anesthesia versus conscious sedation is dependent on the surgeon. There is no right or wrong answer. Whichever anesthetic option he/she is comfortable with to achieve the result you wish to get is the right one.
Thank you for providing photos of your face in multiple angles. Considering the areas that you would like to improve and given your facial shape, a mid-facelift would be a better option.
