Pictures
Here are some pictures. Right after surgery, one week and two weeks. Keep in mind I'm a bruiser and most people do not bruise like I do. I'm very excited about my progress.

Will add some more at the one month date
I bruised like that too. It's a pain, but worth it in the end. You look great!
ORIGINAL POST
For years anytime I had a picture made my eyes...
For years anytime I had a picture made my eyes would become tiny little lines and disappear into my face. I always wanted big beautiful eyes, but the older I got the heavier my eyelids got to the point where you couldn't even see the actual lid anymore. All you saw was sagging skin. So on my 60th birthday, when my husband asked me what I wanted for a birthday present, I told him, "Upper eyelid Surgery". I had, had other wonderful experiences at The Virginia Institute for Surgical Arts and felt confident that Dr. V would be the right person to perform this procedure. Dr. V took her time. The surgical room is immaculately clean. I was able to have my surgery on a Saturday so that my husband could take me to and from the facility. I experienced no pain what so ever and felt relaxed and comfortable even though I was awake. The numbing injections were very effective. The procedure took approximately 90 minutes. I took a nap when I got home and have felt fantastic since. Anytime I have had a question since the procedure, Dr. V has called me right away. I'm extremely pleased.

Thanks for sharing. We'd love to see some before and after/healing pics of your eyes. How are your eyes looking and feeling now that you are a few days post-op?
Will add some pictures in another week at two weeks and then one month. Very pleased and taking photos every day
Sounds good!
Congrats! We had our surgeries on the same day, so I'm thinking you are feeling pretty good right now ;) XO
PS, forgot to mention, mine was also my 60th bday present to myself, we deserve it!
It's been one week and a day and I feel fantastic. There still is some swelling but it has really gone down. I'm one of those people that grazes the dishwasher and I have a huge bruise so some bruising was expected. There are a couple little places that are still red where the stitches were still taken out. But each day I'm very encouraged as it looks better and better. I can't wait to see it a month from now. I've been very thorough about putting antibiotic ointment on the wound several times a day.
Looks like you had a very good experience. Did you use any of those cooling gel packs on your eyes for swelling? I've been looking at those and see some have eye holes while others do not. Of course, a cool washcloth would probably work well also. Thank you and happy healing.
U look beautiful now and looks lime its gone well stitches line looks good x
