Excellent Experience with Dr Ukani, His Clinic, and His Staff!

I had an excellent experience with Dr Ukani from the very first consult, right through to all my post-op follow up appointments. Had a lot of stretch marks & loose skin - in love with my results

I had breast implants & a lift 2 years ago. I had tuberous breasts and was worried implants might not be best suited for me. Dr Ukani assured me he could give me the look that I wanted and to this day I look in the mirror and still am obsessed with them. I was recently able to afford a tummy tuck & didn’t even bother looking into any other surgeons for this. I knew Ukani was my guy! H...

Amazing breast lift & augmentation - precise & clean incisions

Dr. Ukani did an amazing job, I made the perfect choice in surgeons when I chose to go with Dr. Ukani. I had a breast lift and augmentation. I am located in Richmond, so the idea of going to Port Moody for my appointments seemed daunting, BUT, it was so worth it. His work is amazing, I cant get over how precise and clean his incisions were. Even after the surgery, his after care was amazing...

Q: First time breast enlargement considering 600cc?
Answered by Dr. UkaniAugust 20, 2020

A: Based on your height and weight this would be considered a large implant. The most useful measurement that we often use in predicting if an implant size is suitable is the base width of the breast. This is essentially how wide your current breast is. When choosing an implant we usually like the diameter of the implant to stay within 1cm of the base width. For example: if your breast is 12cm wide, then the widest implant that we would recommend would be around 13cm in diameter. We would also consider skin stretch. If your skin is relatively tight it may have difficulty accommodating a 600cc implant. Lastly, you have to consider the long term effects on skin stretch. The larger the implants the more they tend to droop over time. From a surgical perspective, it is always a simpler surgery for you to upsize in the future, rather than trying to downsize.

Q: What would happen if I got the breast implants and then lost 100 lbs?
Answered by Dr. UkaniAugust 20, 2020

A: If you are planning on loosing a significant amount of weight after your breast augmentation surgery, the natural volume of your breast will reduce. The excess skin that remains will either retract or sag. With the amount of weight loss that your are considering there would be considerable concern that it would create some deflation after the weight loss, and you may require a breast lift to revisionary surgery for the shape.

Q: Are my breasts saggy? What can I do? I'm 34 years old. (photos)
Answered by Dr. UkaniAugust 20, 2020

A: You wound probably benefit from a breast lift to improve the shape of the breasts. It looks as though the nipple/areolar complex is sitting low, and there is some loss of volume in the upper pole of the breast. A breast lift would make the breasts rounder, increase the upper pole fullness, and reposition the areolas higher on the breasts. This would leave a lollipop scar around the areola, and from the areola to the inframammary fold.

Q: Large areolas, inverted nipples and stretch marks. What are my options? I'm 23.
Answered by Dr. UkaniAugust 20, 2020

A: It is possible to correct the size of the areolas with an areolar reduction. This is best done with a permanent internal stitch to mininmize the risk of it stretching out again.

The nipple inversion can also be corrected with surgery. This issue with this, however, is that during the surgery the milk ducts going into the nipple are often cut and this would eliminate the possibility of breast feeding in the future, so this would be better left until after you have kids.
